Clinexus holds information about students during their studies. This page explains what we collect, who can see it, where it lives and how long we keep it, in plain terms.
Who is responsible
Your university decides what student information goes into Clinexus and why. Clinexus processes that information on their instructions, as their service provider.
If you are a student and want your information corrected or removed, ask your university first. We will act on their instruction, and we will also act on a direct request from you where the law requires it.
What we collect
Account details provided by your university: name, university email address, discipline, year level and role.
What you do in the platform: modules you mark complete, quiz attempts, announcements you have read, messages you post in group chats, support requests you raise, and placement documents you upload.
Standard technical logs kept by our hosting provider, including IP address and browser type, used to keep the service running and secure.
What we do not do
We do not sell student information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
We do not use student information to train AI models.
We do not track students across other websites.
Who can see what
Students see their own work and the groups they belong to.
Lecturers see progress for the courses they teach.
The platform operator supports students day to day and can see support requests and progress in order to help.
University managers see aggregate reporting only: engagement, completion and support volumes. They do not see individual students, individual messages or individual support requests through the manager view.
The study assistant
When the AI study assistant is switched on for your university, the questions you type are sent to the AI provider that answers them, and the reply comes back to you.
Do not put real patient details into the assistant. It is there for study support, not clinical work.
Where your information is stored
Clinexus stores data with Supabase in the European Union (Frankfurt) and is hosted on Vercel.
Turkish deployments are set up with KVKK obligations in mind, including keeping student records in a European region. Universities in Türkiye should ask us for the specific arrangement before a pilot begins.
Cookies
Clinexus sets two cookies: one to keep you signed in, and one to remember whether you are reading in English or Turkish. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep student records for as long as the university's agreement with Clinexus is in force. When it ends, records are deleted or returned to the university, on their instruction.
