These terms cover using the Clinexus platform. A university running a pilot or a subscription also has a separate written agreement, and where the two differ, that agreement wins.
Who can use Clinexus
Clinexus is provided to universities for their enrolled students and their teaching and support staff. Accounts are issued by the university.
Accounts are personal. Do not share your sign-in with anyone else.
What we ask of students
Group chats are shared, moderated spaces. Treat other students the way you would on placement: no harassment, no abuse, no sharing of another person's private information.
Never post real patient information anywhere in Clinexus, including group chats, reflections and the study assistant. Use anonymised examples.
Course materials are provided for your study. Do not redistribute them outside your cohort.
Moderation
Messages can be reported, and the platform operator can remove content and, where necessary, suspend access. Serious concerns are referred to the university.
The study assistant
The AI study assistant helps you learn. It can be wrong, and it is not a clinical reference. Always check anything that matters against your course materials and your educators.
It does not give medical advice and must not be used for decisions about real patients.
Availability
We aim to keep Clinexus available and to give notice before planned maintenance. Service levels for a paid subscription are set in the university's agreement.
Content ownership
Universities and their lecturers keep ownership of the course material they put into Clinexus. Students keep ownership of what they write.
Clinexus owns the platform itself.
Ending access
Access ends when a student leaves the programme or the university's agreement ends. Data handling at that point is described in the privacy page.
